Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Engineer to join our growing organization. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and tools that power our platform. Your contributions will ensure that our systems operate with high performance, reliability, and scalability.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, DevOps engineers, and IT operations, you will enable the seamless deployment, scaling, and management of our platform. Your expertise in technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of our infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions to support various business needs.
• Optimise deployment processes and systems for maximum performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Utilise Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure as code on AWS.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues, ensuring systems are robust and error-free.
• Conduct peer reviews and promote best practices for platform engineering and infrastructure management.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in platform engineering, contributing to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
• Proficient in containerisation technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, and RDS.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Github, Circle CI).
• Knowledge of system monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with security best practices in cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge and interest in container networking and storage solutions.
