Role Overview
Brand new role to lead the daily operations of our new Sportsbook product MetaWin Sports. You will oversee our sports betting product, leveraging Sport Radar data feeds, risk management tools, and trading solutions to deliver an industry-leading betting experience.
The ideal candidate will combine deep sports betting knowledge with strong operational leadership skills and hands-on experience managing odds, markets, and risk via Sport Radar’s suite of products.
Key Responsibilities
Sportsbook Operational Management
- Manage day-to-day sportsbook operations, including Trading & Risk management liaising with our 3rd party providers to enhance operational excellence and improve customer experience.
- Monitor all sports betting activity to ensure market accuracy, fairness, and sportsbook profitability.
- Ensure betting lines, event schedules, and market types are optimised using Sport Radar odds feed, data services and product tools.
- Configure, manage, and optimise Metawin sportsbook services, including Unified Odds Feed (UOF), Managed Trading Services (MTS), and live data monitoring.
- Liaise with Sport Radar account managers to resolve feed issues, update market configurations, and roll out new product features.
- Maintain integration accuracy between Sport Radar APIs and internal dev support teams.
- Mentor colleagues using Sport Radar tools and ensure compliance and accuracy with all data usage agreements.
- Work closely with internal CRM to define campaigns based on player value.
- Manage and resolve support escalations by investigating complex customer issues, coordinating with trading, risk, and technical teams, and ensuring timely, accurate resolutions that protect both customer experience and sportsbook integrity.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Utilise Sport Radar’s MTS and in-house tools to manage market liabilities, margin adoption and general sportsbook offering.
- Point of contact for all sportsbook player management decisions, defining individual player limits and customer configuration to maximise sportsbook revenue.
- Monitor player activity for potential integrity threats, leveraging Sport Radar Fraud Detection System (FDS) where applicable.
- Monitor the fieldbook, ensuring all betting lines, market rules, and settlements are accurate, consistent, and aligned with internal betting rules. This includes tracking odds adjustments, documenting trading decisions, and supporting effective risk management to safeguard operational integrity.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse margin performance, handle, turnover, and customer behaviour to identify revenue growth opportunities.
- Create and build operational reports and visual dashboards showcasing sportsbook performance for the wider business.
- Recommend market adjustments and CRM campaigns based on analytics and sporting calendar.
- Ensure the sports customer base is segmented according to value for all promotional and marketing activities.
- Analyse CRM campaign performance based on player activity and engagement to ensure marketing spend is generating a positive ROI.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor sportsbook colleagues, risk analysts, and operational staff to maximise operational performance and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of accuracy, speed, and accountability to drive operational excellence.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing clear feedback and development plans to improve co-efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sportsbook operations or sports trading.
- Direct experience working with Sport Radar products (UOF, MTS, Live Odds, Data Feeds, or FDS).
- Strong understanding of sports betting mechanics, odds formats (decimal, fractional, American), and market types.
- Proven track record in risk management, liability control, and trading decision-making.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sports data and betting trends.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with live events.
Preferred:
- Experience with multiple sportsbook platforms and back-office systems.
- Familiarity with multiple sports, leagues, and international betting markets to support the web3 ecosystem Knowledge of sports American sports, particularly American Football, Basketball & Baseball advantageous.
