About the Role
Are you a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of global payment ecosystems and risk management? We’re looking for a Payments Relationship Manager to join our leadership team and drive innovation, resilience, and efficiency across all payment channels.
In this key position, you'll lead our Payments function across global markets, including the USA, Canada, and Australia for WOW Vegas, Rolla, and upcoming sister sites. You will be instrumental in shaping our payment strategy, selecting the right partners, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance all while optimising costs and performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage the existing relationships with payment providers by having regular calls as well as strategic QBRs.
The face of the company when building new partnerships with payment providers.
Follow closely any changes in the payments industry, keeping in mind the impact on the business and markets the company operates in. Inform the stakeholders of any substantial changes and solutions where needed.
Market research and payments roadmap building to implement contingencies as well as new payment methods Work closely with other departments to deliver the roadmap items.
Responsible for PSP onboarding, documentation, and process efficiency as well as commercial and contractual negotiation. Sound understanding of rolling reserves and minimum commitments as well as fee structure like IC++ vs blended.
Must have a clear understanding of the product that will be integrated and foresee any issues from the customer's UX point of view.
Ensure internal teams are trained of the new payment method and are equipped to use back-office portals effectively.
Drive smart routing strategies to optimise performance and reduce costs.
Collaborate with product teams to enhance the customer payment experience
Maintain knowledge of global schemes (e.g. VISA, Mastercard), including MCCs, fraud thresholds, and chargeback ratios.
Work closely with Fraud and Payments Ops teams to enable and optimise fraud tools via PSPs: TC40 reports, RDRs, chargeback management solutions.
Monitor success rates and decline reasons. Work closely with the relevant managers to keep fraud and chargeback ratios low.
