About the Role
Are you a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of global payment ecosystems and risk management? We’re looking for a Head of Payments, Fraud & Risk to join our leadership team and drive innovation, resilience, and efficiency across all payment channels.
In this key position, you'll lead our Payments, Fraud, and Risk functions across global markets, including the USA, Canada, and Australia for WOW Vegas, Rolla, and upcoming sister sites. You will be instrumental in shaping our payment strategy, selecting the right partners, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance all while optimising costs and performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Payments Strategy & Management Lead payment provider strategy from acquiring banks to APMs (banking options, wallets, vouchers).
- Research and implement the most effective payment methods per region and vertical.
- Own the PSP roadmap aligned with company expansion plans and operational continuity.
- Drive smart routing strategies to optimise performance and reduce costs.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and pricing models (IC++ vs blended fees, scheme vs provider fees).
- Collaborate with product teams to enhance the customer payment experience.
Fraud & Risk Oversight
- Manage fraud and risk operations, including chargebacks and compliance (EDD, KYC, etc.)
- Maintain knowledge of global schemes (e.g. VISA, Mastercard), including MCCs, fraud thresholds, and chargeback ratios.
- Enable and optimise fraud tools via PSPs: TC40 reports, RDRs, chargeback management solutions.
- Monitor and manage fraud risks across all markets and payment types.
- Operations & Leadership Lead and support the Payments Ops team, including Chargeback and Fraud Managers.
- Oversee PSP onboarding, documentation, and process efficiency. Ensure internal teams are trained and equipped to use back-office portals effectively.
- Drive operational excellence through monthly financial reviews and quarterly business reviews with PSPs.
